Earlier detection and stratification of eating disorders and comorbid mental illnesses

We are looking for people who have a current binge eating disorder to join our study (no formal diagnosis required). This includes some online questionnaires, an online interview, and attending a study day in which you will: complete some questionnaires and computer tasks; provide blood and a urine sample; have an MRI scan. Participants will be compensated with £100 and an image of their brain upon completion of the study.

OUR AIM
The ESTRA study aims to better understand what causes eating disorders in young adults, including biological, psychological and social factors. The data collected in this study will enable researchers to identify risk factors, investigate how eating disorder symptoms change over time and how they are associated with other mental health problems. The results obtained from this study will inform future prevention and treatment strategies.
